Brian Hurst | Photography
Durham Cathedral

Durham Cathedral

Brian has lived in Sunderland all his life and has had a love of photography for the last 27 years. He is

married to Denise who also shares his love for photography. Initially he used a film SLR but having lost all his camera equipment in a flood he took a short break. His interest was rekindled with the advent of digital and he purchased his first digital SLR 6 years ago.

Having been made redundant Brian decided to take the plunge and become a self employed photographer, being inspired by Joe Cornish (a well known landscape photographer). Although landscape photography started his business he has now expanded into portrait photography and wedding photography.

Brian is a resident artist at the Pebbles Gallery and Art CafĂ© in Allendale and is also a member to The Society of Northumbrian Craftsmen. He exhibits at many local craft fairs including Washington Arts Centre and the Wetlands. His portfolio of images can also be viewed and purchased on his website www.bridenphotography.com . Brian has also undertaken special commission work for customers who require a particular landscape image, which he is more than happy to discuss.

He is gradually building up his portfolio of images however, whatever the outcome of his business, Brian's passion for photography will never cease.
